To all the Asian fans who missed the premiere from tonight, Disney Channel Asia has a surprise for you. Don’t put away those 3-D goggles just yet! Tomorrow, June 22 at 10AM is an encore of the concert! Afterwards, they’ll show the 2-D version of the concert at 7:30PM. Don’t miss it!

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capture the concert. Hopefully some Asian fans were able to cap it. If so, please share! I’m afraid I won’t be able to cap it tomorrow either.

Tomorrow is the World TV Premiere for ‘The Best of Both Worlds Movie Concert in 3D!’ Tune in to Disney Channel [Asia] on June 21; 9:00 PM, and catch the most anticipated movie concert of the year! This is a one time opportunity. Disney Channel Asia is no longer going to re-run the 3D version of the concert in the next following months. I know that because I’ve emailed them about it. If ever you didn’t get the chance to watch the 3D version or if your provider ran out of free 3D glasses, Disney Channel Asia will air a 2D version on Sunday, June 22; 10AM [rumored] and 7:30PM! NEW YORK — Billy Ray Cyrus says he wasn’t around when Annie Leibovitz photographed his 15-year-old daughter, Miley, wrapped in a sheet with her back exposed, for the June issue of Vanity Fair.

“I wasn’t there at the time,” the 46-year-old country star said in an interview Tuesday on NBC’s “Today” show.
Miley’s “publicist was there, and everyone seemed in control,” he said. “I didn’t know they [were] going to strip her down and wrap her with a blanket.”

“So I was surprised when I saw it, you know, but . . . stuff happens. That’s life. Things happen and sometimes things get a little out of control and you just gotta deal with life,” he said. “Again, it’s peaks and valleys and ups and downs.”

Cyrus, who costars with Miley in Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana,” said Leibovitz was a “good person and a great photographer,” but, looking back, he would have stayed to chaperon the photo shoot.

Another photo in the Vanity Fair spread that caused a stir was the image of Miley in a black tank top that revealed her midriff as Cyrus held her in his arms.

When asked if that photo was a mistake, Cyrus said: “It’s not a mistake to me. If it is to someone else, I’m sorry if I offended somebody, but no, that’s just a daddy that loves his daughter a whole lot.”

Cyrus said he and Miley “got caught up in this adventure that we’ve gone through with this dream, and what we do for a living. . . . We both love acting, we love making music and we love each other. I’m her dad and she’s my daughter, so if a daddy hasn’t hugged his daughter recently, I’d recommend he does.”

The creator of Hannah Montana has called on the press to leave Miley Ray Cyrus alone. Michael Poryes, co-creator and executive producer, insists Miley should be able to pose whenever she wants. He declared:

‘To say the tabloids are paying attention to her is a very kind way of saying it. It becomes like Miley Cyrus bites her finger nails is news at 11. They don’t give her a break for being able to go through aches and pains of being an adolescent. Every one has the right to go through being an adolescent.’

Michael revealed that everyone involved with the show is going out of their way to make Miley feel better about herself. ‘The challenge of that is to do our best to make Miley feel, at least in this circle of people, that it’s fine to make mistakes.’

A week after her controversial Vanity Fair portrait was revealed, Miley Cyrus rocked the stage – and thanked her fans – at the Disney Channel Games concert Saturday night.

“I hope you had an awesome time,” Cyrus told the crowd after performing her set. “I saw a sign back there that said, ‘Miley, I’m praying for you.’ I could not be more appreciative. Thank you guys for all your support. Without you, none of this would be possible. I love every one of you and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you.”

Cyrus kicked off the night with “See You Again” and also debuted two new songs, “Fly on the Wall” and “Breakout,” off her upcoming album, dropping on July 22. Read More »

PROVO — Stadium of Fire will be a hotter-than-ever ticket on July Fourth — and not because the fireworks show will include the return of conservative commentator Glenn Beck or the pounding percussion of Blue Man Group.

The reason is a 15-year-old girl.
Tween sensation Miley Cyrus of Disney’s “Hannah Montana” fame will be the headliner, and organizers are banking on a blistering return at the turnstiles.

“Get your tickets now,” advised Brad Pelo, the show’s senior executive producer. “Don’t procrastinate. Don’t make it profitable for the scalpers.”

Pelo calls Cyrus the biggest act in the 28-year history of Stadium of Fire, the crowning gig of America’s Freedom Festival at Provo.

Snagging Cyrus took about 18 months of negotiations. In a video message played for reporters Tuesday, Cyrus - who performed last year before two sell-out crowds at Salt Lake City’s EnergySolutions Arena - said she was excited about coming to Provo.

“We’re going to set the place on fire,” she said.

Pelo noted it will be the first concert Cyrus has done entirely as herself. In her previous tour, “The Best of Both Worlds,” Cyrus also performed as her TV alter ego.
